Um, sorry! You need a bit more than that!
UK Times: Black Lives Matter: Oxford will ‘decolonise’ degrees
The Times - 15 Jun 2020
Oxford University has revealed plans to decolonise its maths and science degrees and will allow students of any subject who have been affected by the Black Lives Matter furore to seek lenient marking...
This is Newspeak, the language of Leftist Overlords.
Asian-Americans should be allowed to attend. Indians and Communist Chinese should stay in their filthy countries.
Blatant racism. In your face racism.
They never wanted to be equal; they’ve been more equal since the 60’s when Affirmative Action was made law. They want to be treated special; not equal.
Bless their gristled little hearts.
White people are a minority in California. And more to the point, non-Jewish white people do not top the charts in the U.S. today on tested IQ, educational achievement, or income. Kinda odd if white privilege and systemic racism are supposed to be the all-purpose explanation for the travails of the black and Hispanic communities.
Brings back ? When did it ever end?
For undergrad, it’s illegal.
For grad school, it’s not.
That’s my memory of what came out of the UMichigan decision.
What!?
I thought Kali “fixed” the Prop 209 “problem” by guaranteeing the top x% of each CA HS graduating class admittance to a UC school?
So, HSs in the less desirable areas got a quota system regardless of how prepared their top students are.

When the spaceships start burning up and crashing due to AA scientists and engineers, they will have successfully “decolonised” the Moon and Mars. :-(
Also clear lack of due process. Surely the board of regents doesn’t have veto power over the voters?
I was going to UC Irvine when they got rid of it in 1995. Libs went on a hunger strike. The Young Republican club had a bbq fundraiser and bake sales within sniffing distance of them.
Great. Now you’ll think twice before making a hire of their grads. Hello affirmative-action...goodbye merit. Buyers beware...
It was some years ago but there was a similar scam called "Value Added" students.
Those "value added" students were all minorities who would NEVER have gotten into the "premiere" high school of the town.
SO the big shots caved to pressure to give those UNQUALIFIED students access to the premiere school. It was a Colossal joke. That is, the minority students getting D's and F's in regular school now had the opportunity to go to the premiere school.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM flunked out. The school district kept at it for a while but they couldn't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The rest of the planet KNEW it would be a failure.
The parent/s of those "value added" students were angry...angry because their children FLUNKED-A-ROONY big time and angry for the school district because the plan was a disaster.
The school district was damned if it did and damned if it didn't.
About school loans. If students DON'T pay them back the state will garnish their wages. It may take some time but garnish their paychecks they will. All the whining and "racist" screeching is to NO avail.
School loans will be paid back one way or another.
Nothing says. We believe in you” like showing you don’t think you can make it on your own.
Institutionalized racism designed to keep them from striving to make themselves better...
SOB = Special Opportunity for Blacks
I could not determine what you were refering to by “it”.
Were you referring to Grutter v. Bollinge? If so, I interpret the ruling as upholding race based admissions but for a lmited time. The ruling was 2003 and the time limit referenced by O’Connor was 25 years so it should be “completed” by 2028.
Or perhaps another ruling?
Brings back ? When did it ever end?

I thought the state supreme court or appeals court ended it. Yes in Cali.
Sorry affirmative action is banned by California law. All races must be treated equally.
.
.
Right. Didn’t this go through the courts already?
