Ferguson’s lover, Antonia Staats

Well, he might not have lied. In order to improve his model, he has to spend more time studying Staats.

be careful re tweet posted on FR earlier claiming his lover worked for Soros-connected org.
maybe not, but there’s enough stuff - gloBULL warming being the most obvious - to indicate just what Ferguson’s motivations might have been in exaggering, hyping up his model:

Wikipedia: Avaaz
UK-based newspaper The Guardian considers it “the globe’s largest and most powerful online activist network”...
Avaaz.org was co-founded by Res Publica, a “community of public sector professionals dedicated to promoting good governance, civic virtue and deliberative democracy,” and MoveOn.org, an American non-profit progressive public policy advocacy group. It was also supported by Service Employees International Union, a founding partner...

On 5 May 2020, Antonia Staats, a senior campaigner for Avaaz, was named as the lover of Professor Neil Ferguson, who advocated a mass lockdown in response to COVID-19, but breached its stipulations in pursuing his affair...

“Since 2009, Avaaz has not taken donations from foundations or corporations, nor has it accepted payments of more than $5,000 (£3,100),” The Guardian reported. “Instead, it relies simply on the generosity of individual members, who have now raised over $20m (£12.4m).” Prior to 2009 various foundations had funded Avaaz’s staff and start-up costs...

Ideology
Avaaz claims to unite practical idealists from around the world...
In practice, Avaaz often supports causes considered progressive, such as calling for global action on climate change, challenging Monsanto, and building greater global support for refugees...

***In the 2016 United States presidential election, Avaaz campaigned against Donald Trump with the slogan “Defeat Donald Trump”, and produced a software tool to simplify overseas voter registration...

In 2008, Canadian conservative minister John Baird labeled Avaaz a “shadowy foreign organization” tied to billionaire George Soros.
Another Canadian, conservative media personality Ezra Levant, tried to make a link between Soros and Avaaz.org as an indirect supporter through MoveOn, but the article was later retracted as baseless and an apology was offered to Soros.

Ha ha. And that’s one area where I’m sure he’s happy the curves aren’t flat.

Just like a liberal: “My onerous rules to steal your liberty and wealth apply to you, not to me. I get a special exception, because you need me to make the rules.”

There are many single people who live across town from or in another town from their significant other. They have not seen each other in weeks because they are afraid of getting the virus from the other because anyone could theoretically pick up the virus anytime just from having to go out and grocery shop.

I personally do not subscribe to this view; I see my S.O.

But someone in this doctor’s position, having espoused the views he has, should not be in my “camp” but in the first camp I mentioned. And his paramour, knowing the views he has publicly expressed, should wonder why he thinks it is safe for them to get together.

There is certainly no end to the strangeness of this thing, that’s for sure.

I would think that a woman you’re shtupping has all the germs you do, and you’re just as “sheltered” in two apartments or one. It is expected that close relations would likely all get this as a group, I would have thought.

I also thought of the Diamond Princess as more of an experiment in incubation than any kind of a quarantine, though, so what do I know.

Of course, the marital infidelity isn’t even thought of as a motivation for retirement from public life anymore, either.

What a world!
