And the problem with so-called liberalism is it doesn’t let people mature into adults by “facing the danger”. In a misguided attempt to shelter adults as if they were children, you cripple them intellectually and emotionally. You make them afraid of *everything* and unable to process new situations without an appeal to an “adult”; the “adult” being the government.
