The challenge for Warren during this period — which creates significant worry among many Democrats and will be a major topic in the November debate — is that she is taking a small number of highly controversial positions that create extreme political danger to her campaign in critical electoral vote states and threaten a number of key Democratic House and Senate candidates in battleground states and districts.
The most dangerous position Warren is taking would terminate private health insurance, now held by more than 150 million Americans, in her version of a “Medicare for All” plan.

But now Warren is unabashed in pushing the Medicare for All (including illegal immigrants), destroying the private health insurance companies/employees (recently told those who will lose their jobs essentially "Learn to code"), etc etc.
Good luck telling that to those in Michigan union workers (and other battleground states) who have enjoyed their very good private insurance plans that now they will have to 'support those who don't have such good plans'.
Hence, the author's nightmare - "If there is a worst case nightmare that should worry every progressive and Democrat, which is given credence by recent polling, it is that Democrats win the popular vote in 2020 but lose the electoral vote and key House and Senate races in battleground states and districts — which happened in 2016."
All you get from the Democrats worry is that their goals of absolute power is the same, but they want their candidate(s) to lie better to the public.
Warren is too stupid to realize the Delusional Lying Left DOESN’T want their own revealing the long-term plans of these fascists - to basically take all of YOUR money, so THEY can have the Nirvana they promised you.
Someone needs to ask Warren if all elected members of government as well as all government employees will be also forced into a medicare for all.

Warren worries Dems because she is being honest about their Demcorat Fascist party agenda. They want creepy Quid Pro Quo Joe to lie his way into office instead.
I think we should all start working for Warren. I’ll see if I can switch my party affiliation to vote for her. Suggest all do the same. She is the perfect Rat candidate.
Maybe the threat of taking away your private health insurance for Government DMV-style Insurance administered by “don’t give a flying f#@k” bureaucrats will scare enough voters to shun her.
What SHOULD really scare everybody is the $53 TRILLION number that will forever and finally destroy all future business and job creation as well as force all Americans to retire in penury.
What fills the Democrats with dread is a second term and a some more conservative judges and more dismantling of their leviathan bureaucracy. Throw in federal oversight and enforcement of fair and honest elections(aka no dead or illegals voting) and continued immigration reforms and they can say goodbye to 75 years of left wing gains. Forcing the lazy to get off their as*, and that means yes you black community, enough whining. Also instigating cultural change by taking back our universities and putting out to pasture 60's radicals in the faculty and slamming the door closed on bulls*t liberal arts majors(gender studies) by cutting of the financial aid money.
Bingo. All anyone needed to know about Obamacare was that Congress, Senate and all their favorites were exempt. Exempt! Ask her why she was exempt.
The main reason it worries Democrats is that some of them understand that if there is no income then here are no taxes.
