>>> Hogan addresses reports that he was considering a primary run against the President

In political circle, this is sending out feelers to see if he can attract any $$$$ for his personal ego/ambition. There is zero chance he's going to primary Trump.

Secondly, Trump's doubling down on his promises to the base may help him get re-elected but hurt the Republican party?

Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) may not know this, but the base is fed up with exactly the same kind of Republicans like Hogan. I can NOT express how disgusted I am with these "Republicans".

They can try, but it’s not going to work — we hope.

We're alienating every group we possibly can and we're down to a smaller, shrinking base. [ . . . ] which may help him to be re-elected.

The base cannot be that small if it gets his re-elected in a two-man race.

Trump is only alienating America-hating socialists and communists.

If you tell a lie long enough, people will begin to believe it. (Goebbels?)

So Trump gets stadiums with tens of thousands of alienated people all over the country?

Maybe Hogan should get out more, see the world...talk to people.

. “GOP Gov. Larry Hogan (MD): Republicans “Alienating Every Group We Possibly Can” With Trump”

Maryland (MD) an extension of DC sprawl with its only industry as government and its only product as bureaucracy.

And its Governor aligning himself, excuse me, itself as GOP is a joke and that said Governor complaining about alienating every group it can with Trump is called ...

WINNING!

Because every group in MD alienated with the word TRUMP is a group that Americans can do without.

Republicans like him are korporatists looking the world over for cheap labor and trade deals that benefit only the Chamber. We need national sovereignty first.

Good. I detest “Groups” and group think. I prefer those tens of thousands of individuals at those massive rallies.....you fool. Oh, I have my ticket for this Thursday in Dallas. I plan on seeing him. Any words of advice on attending a Trump really are appreciated. Thanks.

Yet “Republican” Hogan would never say the same about Democrats despite the ample evidence of radical control of the Democrat Party.

The only groups Trump is alienating are those groups that would never vote for him, or pretty much any other Republican, in the first place. These include:

Liberal Arts graduates who live in upper middle class neighborhoods, listen to NPR every morning, shop at the neighborhood organic food store or coop, and who have essentially zero contact with or knowledge about the ‘downtrodden’ they theoretically and abstractly support.

Academics

Lawyers - who know that the Democrats will never mess with attorneys the way they have gone after physicians and others associated with medicine.

Socialists/Marxists

The Pro-abortion crowd

The Pro-reparations crowd

The Pro-CAIR crowd.

Those feminists who actually hate men.

So I believe we see a Governor in MD so locked into the establishment picture he can’t understand where the people are coming from, and want to go. This perspective will really win him the BIG bucks for a run against Trump. Ignorance really is bliss.

How about thinking of Americans as a whole instead of categorizing everybody into different groups to pander to come election time?

But it's hurting the Republican party in all the competitive races across the country."

Absolute insane nonsense. The BEST thing a pubbie candidate can do to further their own campaign is to stand before a camera and declare, "I support our president, Donald Trump."

He just summed up everything wrong with politicians: more worried about alienating groups instead of doing a good job.
