Pelosi 'abusing' her role as speaker w/ impeachment inquiry, failing to give Trump due process
Fox News ^ | September 29, 2019 | Frank Miles

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins told Fox News on Sunday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has "abused" her role with her treatment of the impeachment inquiry into President Trump, claiming the president won't receive "due process" over a whistleblower's claim he improperly pushed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July phone call to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who served on the board of an energy company in Ukraine.

"We saw Speaker Pelosi abuse her oath of office, if you would, by abusing the role of the speaker by saying an impeachment inquiry had started and they were sending it to the Intelligence Committee where you have a gentleman who has a habit of lying about the facts, [Rep. Adam] Schiff," Collins, R-Ga., told host Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures." "They have decided to walk down a path in which they are in contrary to American values. They're not going to allow this president to have due process. They're not going to be fair. They're going to ramrod this thing through."

Collins also said Trump was "not in jeopardy of being removed from office. He's in jeopardy of having to continue that onslaught of lies and attacks and half-truths from a one-sided investigation in the House."

Pelosi isn’t that smart or forward-thinking, she kept trying to tell the young-uns in the party to shut up about impeachment, it’s a loser and will only hurt them (you know things are screwed-up when Pelosi is the voice of reason). I really get the feeling that she’s along for the ride on this one, somebody got something on her or got her to sign a document while high on pills or something.

And what a sackless bunch of Republicans we have. They’re such losers that they have no idea how to act when they have the majority and all the advantages. They’re still walking around with their heads down like the lame-duck party they were 3 years ago. Pathetic.

Yes, what is the process in the House? So far it seems like a one-sided railroad effort facilitated by silent Republicans.

House members are acting brave because they know they cannot block anything. Senators remain quiet...

I have a question for Freepers that are more schooled in the Constitution than me.

Article II Section 4: The President, Vice President and ALL civil Officers of the Untied States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

This would include The Speaker of the House. So, how did the Founding Founders make accommodations to impeach a Speaker since the Speaker is the one appointed to file the 'Articles of Impeachment' to begin with?

Pelosi is the one that needs to be impeached.

Don’t worry as the impeachment drums continue to beat and the Republicans think that the Democrats have or weakening President Trump, more and more of them will jump on his back like the jackals and hyenas they are until every Congressional Republican is in the Democrat pile on President Trump.

If Trump gets impeached, Trump’s lawyers can subpoena people Joe Biden would like not to talk.

Exactly, which is why they will saber rattle the impeachment process through the election year. They don't want to give the President the process of discovery and have the witnesses fail to turn over requested evidence. That would be a nightmare for the dems.

I will go out on a limb and say no impeachment vote until they see the make up of the 2021 Senate. Then if they have a chance in the Senate and President Trump is reelected they will vote for impeachment.

In the meantime they will claim they have the goods on the President. They will claim he would be convicted in the Senate but they need to make sure all their Ducks are in a row so he can't slip out of the charges. CNN and MSNBC will sound the same chorus.

EXPLOSIVE REPORT: Rep. Adam Schiff Linked to Prominent Ukrainian Arms Dealer!
CIRCA 2018 Adam Schiff’s collusion with oligarch, Ukrainian arms dealer, exposed

theduran.com | 3/2/2018 | ALEX CHRISTOFOROU / FR Posted by bitt

What drives Adam Schiff’s never ending Russia hysteria? When in doubt follow the money. Congressman Schiff’s well documented Putin obsession may have something to do with his billionaire, military complex, oligarch patron from Ukraine.

In a Zerohedge post yesterday, chronicling the latest Adam Schiff idiocy, where the Democrat Congressman spoke to a crowd at the University of Pennsylvania, declaring Russian ads promoted the Second Amendment during the 2016 election “so we will kill each other” commenter AlaricBalth linked some interesting information on Schiff’s underlying motivation behind his Russia hysteria… Adam Schiff is an owned hatchet man of Ukrainian arms dealer Igor Pasternak. Schiff’s anti-Russian narrative is carefully orchestrated by his Ukrainian handlers.

Pasternak, who was raised and educated in Ukraine before immigrating to the United States, is a passionate promoter of Ukrainian culture and business. He has been active in both Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. to support increased bilateral ties between the two countries and has been especially active building awareness of Ukraine’s strategic economic importance among Members of Congress.

Since political protests broke out across Ukraine in late 2013, Pasternak has worked to personally inform and educate Members of Congress about the geostrategic importance of Ukraine to European and US security. Jack Posobiec tweeted in March 2017 on Schiff’s connection to Pasternak and George Soros… (Excerpt) Read more at theduran.com ...

What will be great when he is told he must reveal the names of the persons he received the information from. They did not file whistle blower complaints and are not shielded by those protections and he can not refuse to name them so that they can be asked to verify his statements attributed to them.

Karl “Tokyo” Rove was on Fox & Friends this morning...mostly a waste of time to listen to but he did have a white board with a breakdown of President Trump’s phone conversation with Zelensky on July 25. 8% was about the server and trying to find what happened about the Russians hacking it (apparently still buying the cover story that it was the Russians, not Seth Rich), only 3% on Biden, 89% on other topics.

Hi
I was going to do a private reply to our emails together with the response below,
I'm doing it here because private FR mail doesn't allow the HTML
that I wanted to use to emphasize what I had meant by my original post...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I had posted is a phrase that I often use on other sites' comment threads
to counter the claims of Dems that Trump is Guilty of Obstruction of Justice.
My response to them is to state that...
Trump is Guilty of Obstructing Injustice.
In other words,
what Trump is obstructing is the Dems' Injustice (lack of fairness or justice)
embodied in their efforts to smear, besmirch and lie about Trump and thereby Obstruct Justice
Trump is not allowing them to get away with it by effective counterattacks.
