If senators could somehow keep their vote secret, I think he gets convicted by a huge margin. I know I don’t really trust any politician who makes it to the national level. The only thing that really keeps any of these people honest is that they will lose their next reelection effort.

I doubt there are more than five or six GOP senators who would vote to convict. Mittens, for sure; then I’d say Sasse, the Bobsy Twins (Murkowski and Collins), and Alexander. Maybe McSally.
