It does seem odd that the long list of those Democrats running so far included only ridiculously extreme narratives. Not one person’s platform would capture the average person’s imagination. HRC could be waiting until some of them self-destruct and she comes into the fray, claiming to be the moderate the Democrat Party needs. This scenario has seemed plausible to me since the first set of Democrat debates. The others are so extreme that they are ridiculous. Trump, though, smart, accomplished, and with a great record as president, would win.
Trump may win states this time he had no idea were up for grabs. I don’t think Nixon expected to nearly take everything in 1972. And George McGovern was a moderate compared to these nutballs, and a patriot who served in a B-17 in World War II.
