But more importantly, you can’t impeach a president to impede fundraising. Where do you find a desire to hurt fundraising, within the constitutional requirement of “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors” for impeachment??

I don’t want President Trump impeached, but only because that would further damage the legitimacy of our government. We don’t need to take yet another step toward a bloody second civil war. However, impeachment would galvanize decent American voters better than even President Trump’s speeches to packed stadiums. The “impeachment” mantra without associated charges is so obviously illegitimate that it would be the best election motivator in history.
