Strange that millions of parents support President Trump and none of their children shoot into crowds.
It seems that the vast majority of these murderers are sons whose fathers were not involved in their lives from an early age. Their anger over this loss festers and grows with violent results as they lash out. What can be done about these young men?

Some people seek to exploit tragedies for political purposes. The truth is the personality profile of mass shooters doesn’t lend itself to a political orientation. Mass shooters are better described as young adult males who are loners, losers, and hateful of others on multiple levels.
Yes, among them are white supremicists who seek, in their skin color, some king of validation. Perhaps, they are blaming their own failures on the perceptions of affirmative action and competition from abroad (free trade as well as immigrants).
But, at the same time, many mass shooters are radical leftists, progressives and socialists, and people who hate Christians and Jews as well as people who hate the ethnic and religious minorities favored by the media.
To review the evidence:
During 2009-2016 (i.e., the Obama years), there were 155 mass shootings (defined as four or more killed not including the perpetrator) (there are other definitions).
That’s 19.4 per year.
During 2017-2019 (part) (i.e., the Trump years so far), there have been 54.
That’s 20.2 per year. The difference isn’t statistically significant.
