With the economy booming and Trump steadily marching down the list of campaign promises......tariffs, the Wall, etc I think he’s got an excellent chance in the Midwest again. He actually keeps his promises - or at least makes every effort to like no previous president I’ve ever seen with the possible exception of Ronald Reagan.
Finding enough workers “is a problem playing out in many parts of the Midwest, a region with lower unemployment and higher job-opening rates than the rest of the country,” according to an April 2018 Wall Street Journal report, citing hiring challenges by employers in Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Southwestern Ohio, solid Trump country, is in the midst of a warehousing boom.
