Hogan is better than the alternative and that is the best you will ever get in Maryland. It may not satisfy you, but it's reality.
If he comes across an an authentic republican, he would have lost reelection . . .
The sad fact is that Hogan only cares about himself and not even other GOP candidates on the ballot. He has demonstrated that he has no coattails. This has been the topic of conversation on the local conservative talk radio station to which I listen.
Moreover, I have called Hogan’s office to lodge complaints, only to have them fall on naive and deaf ears of staffers/aides who seem outraged by my taking issues with Hogan’s positions.

And God forbid anyone even BELIEVE that Trump could lose. Even that is offensive, apparently, never mind opposing Trump’s view or action. But that was all this was about - could Trump lose? Say “yes”, and you’re a traitor!
Hogan is better than the Dem alternative but has not needed to be so vocally anti-Trump the entire time. Hogan was a businessman who had no elected office before becoming governor. Governors are sometimes elected in heavily Dem states because even some Dems realize that they need to right a sinking financial ship once in a while. As for running in primaries for President, he has almost zero charisma, IMHO.
