Joe Biden claimed his wife was killed in a car crash with a drunken semi truck driver. It ruined the truck driver’s life. It turns out that Biden’s wife ran a stop sign and was hit by the truck. The truck driver was never convicted of the accident.

Some might remember Slow Joe's earlier Presidential campaign circa 1988 - yup, some 30 years ago.
Seems instances of plagiarized works, such as passages from a speech of an established British politican (viz., Neil Kinnock, Labour Party), and a law school paper (Fordham Law Review) came out.
These revelations caused Slow Joe to withdraw and lower his "profile" for some time to come.
