Remember that Erickson was ‘ambarassed’ by McCain’s Palin pick. Pretty much says it all. Someone wrote of him at the time words to the effect that we might have presumed that he was potty-trained between the Ford and Reagan administrations but based on his reaction to the Palin pick, we were wrong to do so.
