Right, but we are currently in what would be the 1962 election cycle. The Republican Party went to the far right base of the party when electing their 1964 candidate Barry Goldwater. They only circled back to the establishment candidate Nixon in 1968. Look for the Democrats to go far left in 2020...some radical kook like Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, or Pocahantas
