How in Heaven’s name do the Democrats figure that appearing more weird, more anti American, more anti family, more anti sanity, is going to somehow convince normal, American, family voters to vote for them? It is like some kind of out of control political suicide. Not that I would have them do different, but what in the hell are they thinking?
I predict some sort of massive and overtly public break in the party will precipitate, as I am certainly not alone in seeing this. Either someone starts getting it, getting “woke” to their self defeating idiocy, or we can assume the remainder of semi-sane former Democrats have tossed in the towel, and will side with Trump. I am not sure at all this is true, but we will inevitably see.

We live in a peculiarly American fantasy world where many poor people are ridiculously fat and some rich people look emaciated and muscular at the same time. This is a world where the concerns of humanity are not what they have been for millions of years. With the removal of religion and country as center posts of cultural life, people desperately seek something grander than themselves to focus on. Liberalism is a cluster of “causes.” In the grand scheme they are fraudulent causes; global warming, peak oil, racial discrimination...none of these are even real. Oh, I’m sure there’s discrimination. But it’s discrimination against people who have surly attitudes and who act badly in society towards others.
The reason the Left acts so stupidly is that there is no focus to their lives that leads them to act better. No religion, no patriotism, nothing. Emptiness must be filled with something.
