Now the playbook is base turnout: get your people to vote, and convince your opponent’s people not to vote. The Dems are trying to use this playbook by separating Trump from his supporters, but it isn’t working, because the Dems don’t know what makes the supporters of Trump support him, so they keep bringing up things that the supporters don’t care about.
