Not exactly. Capitol Police can protect any Congressman anywhere in the USA, and have statutory jurisdiction anywhere in the USA to do so. Capitol Police answer only to Congress.
Mad Max could easily have gotten Capitol Police protection.
I would assume she’d need Pelosi’s say-so to get protection. Don’t see that happening.
