The family of Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) does not plan to invite President Donald Trump to the senator’s funeral when the time comes, according to a New York Times report.
McCain and Trump have long had a contentious relationship, including Trump slamming McCain and insisting he was not a war hero during his 2016 campaign.
“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said back then, referring to the former prisoner of war. “He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.”
The relationship did not get better after Trump was elected, particularly after Trump mocked McCain after he voted against a key Obamacare repeal.
According to NBC, it is McCain’s wish that Trump not attend....

Several years ago,I followed a historical site marker to a grave-site where a fellow named Henry Wallace was buried. As I was looking around, I caught my dog, Silas, heisting his leg and peeing on the guy’s marker. Didn’t realize til I got home and looked him up how big of a deal he was. FDR’s VP and a pretty powerful force in and of himself. Here he was less than a hundred years later with a mutt peeing on his grave. Made me realize none of usisreally that big of a deal.

The passing of John McCain will receive little note from the vast majority of the American people. His biggest cheerleader will be “Satan” himself. Hell awaits his arrival!!!

Traitor forever. Of course he associates more closely with our most treasonous president.
I was disgusted when they buried Teddy Kennedy in Arlington for exactly that reason. I walked by his grave with a smile, but I couldn't say "goodbye" to that traitorous murderer properly, not in Arlington.
I wonder how many patriotic Americans want Obama at McCain’s funeral too - not as a guest but as a double feature.
Maybe one day voters will wise up, follow the example of God, and impose term limits.
I certainly wasn’t one of them.
Do I think it may someday come to that? Anyone who reads history knows that is a possibility. But I also know that the people in a civil war often long for no war after it has been entered, and that civil wars rarely involve minimal bloodshed.
My feeling is that there may indeed come a time when it has to happen, and if it does, I hope I can do what needs doing.
But I won’t wish for that.
