I don’t think such law would hold up to constitutional challenge.

When specific parties (but not ALL parties) are identified in a law for preferential treatment on the ballot, it would appear to game the system.

Agree...but it certainly was that way, and I guess no one really cared, as they got so few votes. But with the dismemberment of the Democrat Party, starting after the Virginia election on Tuesday, those little parties may be the only ones in position to take its place.
