Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) on Wednesday harshly criticized Donald Trump, writing a letter to express his utter disgust with how the president has handled race relations in the United States.
In an acerbic letter to Trump, Richmondwho chairs the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)slammed the presidents attack on NFL players, his use of profane, sexually derogatory language in addressing American citizens and his employment of racist dog whistles in everyday speech.
I write today to express my utter disgust with your handling of race relations in America in general and, more specifically, your calculated, divisive response to nationwide demonstrations against police brutality and racial injustice by professional football players, owners, coaches, and countless other patriots, Richmond wrote.
African Americans are just as patriotic as any other American, he continued, noting they have fought in every war from the American Revolution to Iraq and Afghanistan, only to come home to a country that has yet to reconcile deep-seated issues of race, inequality, and injustice.
Without mentioning Trumps speech last week, where the president called protesting NFL players sons of b*tches, Richmond slammed the president for his use of profane, sexually derogatory language in addressing American citizens, arguing that speech is unbecoming of the office you now hold.
Moreover, your complete lack of understanding of or empathy for the very painful history and substantive policy concerns that move people like Colin Kaepernick to take a stand, or a knee, in the first place is a reminder of all the African American community has to lose under your Administration, Richmond added.
The CBC chairman went on to list a multitude of problems facing the black community in the United States, including criminal justice system, racial profiling, and police brutality, among many other issues. Pointing specifically to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Richmond accused Trumps Justice Department of [initiating] a second failed war on drugs that will wreck the Black community, an over-policed population, and only exacerbate our nations shameful mass incarceration problem.
You personally add insult to injury with the racist dog whistles you employ, such as calling for law and order in underserved, neglected communities across America while concurrently encouraging police brutality, Richmond wrote. The actions taken by you and your Administration in the short time you have been in office have already caused serious harm to our constituents and the vulnerable communities for whom we speak.
Almost everything you have done and said on the topic of race or on issues that implicate race demonstrate a shocking lack of knowledge for an adult public official in the 21st century, he added.

GFYCBC!
Why is this Racist, poverty pimping club even allowed in the US Congress??
Poor Mistreated Victims
FOAD!!
More evidence that they’re getting the sh!t kicked out of them.
How many blacks were killed by other blacks in Chicago last weekend?
Last month?
Last year?
Why don’t these blacks lives matter?
Oh, dang! So they supported him before, but now he’s gone and done it? Phony-baloney dipsticks. Quick! Somebody call the other CBC (Center for Bullshit Control).
Qui se soucie de ce que pensent les Canadiens?
Oh yes, and race relations would have been so much better under President Clinton, oops, Abedin (do I really need to indicate the sarc?).
African Americans are just as patriotic as any other American, he continued.....
I can translate this article for ya......kill whitey, but first get all his money. Take down all of whitey history too.
I always love it when the chair of a black only club lectures others on “institutional racism” and “Inclusion”
Utter disgust?!?!?!
Just pissed off that he’s not being coddled. Wahhhhh.
Ah shaddup. Blacks do not deserve better treatment than anyone else.
Canada was my first thought too.
$1000000 per person, a one-way ticket to Africa and you give up your US citizenship on the tarmac.
Is Trump’s handling of “race relations” similar to when Obama said nigger on national TV?
Typical black man, like Obama’s mama was a “typical white” person.
>African Americans are just as patriotic as any other American, he continued.....<
Not after 70 years of indoctrination and mind-altering inducements by the demopnrats.
The CBC saw a great opportunity to turn St Louis into another Ferguson last week. But this president refused to step in and throw gasoline on a race fire.
Trump is so fond of tweeting without all the facts, but unlike Obama he is not willing to do it when it may cause riots, looting, and arson. How can the CBC advance the causes of BLM if the president won’t cooperate? He’d rather divide 1%er NFL players from fans than divide common blacks from common whites and police. That is unacceptable.
/sarc
I also have utter disgust.
Utter disgust in the CBC’s handling of the 74% illegitimacy rate among black Americans. All of the havoc wreaked in the black community is traced back directly to this statistic.
And, even more utter disgust in the CBC’s support for the 17 million black babies killed by abortion since Roe V. Wade.
Maybe the CBC should focus on getting the black community to think about something beyond the individual’s next orgasm, oh, say personal responsibility for instance, and these two problems would start solving themselves.
Ah, those dredded dog whistles...
...that no one can hear but them.
