I had a very good friend, in spite of our differing political views, who made some nasty and tasteless remarks during Reagan’s funeral proceedings. It exposed a degree of hatred for conservatives I had not seen before in him.
This after a spirited defense of Bill Clinton’s disgusting behavior with a 21 yo intern in the oval office.
I lost much respect for him that I did not regain.

You touched upon what I think is a very important point. Most conservatives don’t hate. We might disagree with, or even be repulsed by, a liberal politician. But we don’t hate.
For example, I am repulsed by Bill Clinton. He disgusts me. But I don’t hate him. I reserve hate for true monsters, like Hitler.
But liberals hate. Disagree with a liberal position, and they will hate you. And anything that you say is “hate speech”.
Your vote in Texas meant a lot. Texas was the one single state that Trump had to win. He could have lost any other single state and still won. If H had somehow flipped Texas she would be in the White House now.
oops sorry meant that reply for Undecided 2012
