That’s true for small arms. What about crew served weapons, armoured vehicles and aircraft? In a popular revolt it depends on what the military decides to do and whether the troops would obey their officers if they ordered the troops to put down a rebellion. I’d like to think the military would stand aside in a popular revolt but something tells me they would take sides. The question is whose side would they take. A popular rebellion, if from the right would be opposed by the hard left. I could see years of guerilla warfare occurring. I pay it doesn’t occur but sometimes I fantasise about a rebellion that wipes out the left and outlaws socialism and communism in this country forever.

How will aircraft fly without a flight line crew? Who will supply ammo for crew-served weapons when the armories are empty? What makes you think only one side will have armoured vehicles?

Armored personel carriers can be defeated.

I prefer fire, myself.

After seeing the self-mobilization of thousands of private Texans over the last few days it’s my opinion that there’s nothing a well motivated, unified group of men can’t do.

And that is why the elites want us to be demotivated and disunited. So they can more easily destory us.

This question is asked a lot. I hope we never have to know the answer because I think we can only know if it happens. I have a big interest in history and read several books about the beginnings of the Civil War. The military had to choose then and as you say they did choose up sides. Each had their own reason for the side they chose.

Our military today is so different, I think it would be different if it happened today. I think part would support the government, that is what they are expected to do. I think part would support the people countering the government, those that agreed with them of course. I also think a part would simply leave, and just go home and do their own thing. Those that leave might well go to a group to support them, but not as part of the military any longer. I think it would be about a third for each part. Just a guess on my part.

I haven't heard anyone else say they think any significant number would simply bow out of it all, but I do think that. If you think about the military losing as much as 2/3 of their force, that is astonishing. It would be pretty chaotic, disruptive as can be. At that point the military would not be as we see it today. It is how I see it playing out though.
