I went to Greenwich Village that summer as a young girl and remember all the love beads and hippie graffiti at St. Mark’s Place. What a time!
SF was pretty exhilirating on first take but very quickly I thought, “what are yall gonna do for a living?” The answer to that didn’t become apparent for another dozen years when the whole character of the Universities began to change radically. They didn’t do anything productive for a living. They stayed in school.
