The USA Senate should never have its urgent business held up by an aging & ailing Senator. Senator, John McCain, Arizona, who is now not sound of mind or body, should gracefully remove himself from the Senate by resigning immediately and retiring to an "Old Age" home, where he rightfully belongs.
The Governor of Arizona, under law should immediately appoint a replacement to serve out the unexpired term of the failing Senator McCain. End of story.
Strom Thurmond comes to mind. An elected official needs to be replaced once he/she loses the mental ability to perform his/her tasks. Same holds true for any job.
McLame is WAY TOO SELFISH to do that
Are there any other Republican Senators willing to handle logistics and weapons supply to ISIS if he retires??
He lost on purpose.

I believe that. His “nothing to fear about Obama” comment and then taking off during a critical moment of the campaign because he had more “important” business in the Senate clearly suggested he never intended to win - or was never meant to win by whoever was pulling his strings.
And since then he’s become the biggest back-stabber on the Republican team - fighting against Trump (and therefore against we-the-people) at every opportunity, up to and including whatever he might have had to do with getting that bogus “dossier” distributed to the slobbering press.

There’s someone here who wants Cap’n McQueeg to stay ? They should be ZOT’ted on sight.
Folks...thanks for your massive comment returns. I am now fully convinced that the overwhelming majority of the American people know and fully realize what a low life, “traitor”, senator, John McCain is to POTUS, Trump, the American people and the nation itself.
If America as to survive as the land of the free and the home of the brave, the Democrat “Hate & Envy” Party & The Republican Anti-Trump Establishment scum & vermin must politically destroyed, forever.
Not sure McCain is coming back, quite frankly. Dr. Milton Wolf, the Kansas physician who ran for Senate against another Washington fossil (Pat Roberts), posted a couple of insightful tweets after McCain’s “announcement.” Dr. Wolf noted the blood clot discovered in the Senator cannot be detected by a routine physical, and the surgery required to remove it is quite invasive. The idea that McCain will be back in a week or so is wildly optimistic, at best.
On the other hand, it’s quite possible that McCain (and McConnell) knew about McNasty’s condition in advance and with the health care crap sandwich going nowhere, McCain’s required surgery became the rationale to postpone a vote.
“No we dont. Most of the geezers I know would like him to retire now. Gracefully. Hes had his shots.”
Well, let’s see..... I’m thinking that McCain, Aunt Maxine, Crazy Nancy, Sheila Jackson would make a great card table. Can you imagine the blather from that bunch, whew!!!
Not likely he'll be allowed to fly for a while - could be a longer term recovery period.
I notice the media is not very inquisitive - he's to “friendly” with them. Anyone else they'd be all over this.
He should just roll over and shed his mortal coil.
one of the most revealing pieces on this guy; but folks seem to have a difficult time finding it...and even harder time posting it, apparently!

What could have been. But, alas, he was broken as a POW and never recovered.
Now, just go away.
This “excuse” by the turtle reeks to high heaven. Nothing in D.C. happens by coincidence.
NO.....I would never suggest, promote or wish that McCain should move on to the hereafter. His bleak future lies in serving forever after in “Satan’s Inferno” Let McCain continue to be the disgusting traitor vegetable he has become. Shame on the voters of Arizona and the Establishment Republican Party.
John McCain gave us health care DEATH PANELS.
Do you panelists vote thumbs UP or thumbs DOWN for McCain???
down
Media double standard, alive and well. Remember when Senator Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota) had a major stroke about 10 years ago? Updates on his condition were harder to come by that reliable reporting on Soviet leaders during the days of the USSR. We were only told that Senator Johnson was recovering and would return to his office “soon.” Press couldn’t be bothered with the serious nature of his condition, or the fact he would incapacitated for months.
When RINO Mark Kirk (R-IL) had a stroke in 2012, there were plenty of leaks about his condition, and almost immediate speculation he might not be able to serve out his term. What a surprise. As for McCain, he’s the next best thing to a Democrat, so he gets the same “protected” status. Don’t expect any updates on his condition, though it’s a safe bet you won’t see Capt Queeg back on the hill for several months—at the outside.
