IT’S OFFICIAL: PUTIN WANTED TRUMP TO WIN

Vladimir Putin is ruthless.

Vladimir Putin is capable of murder.

Vladimir Putin is insatiably nationalistic.

Is Vladimir Putin stupid? Wouldn’t it be great if most of our politicians were that kind of stupid?!

Is Vladimir Putin an idiot? Same answer, basically.

Putin’s dilemma, prior to November, 2016: “Do I want Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump to be elected president of the United States?”

It’s widely held that Hillary Clinton’s presidency would be tantamount to Barack Obama’s third term. What gains did Russia achieve during the eight years of Obama: No American political figure did more to enable Putin’s predatory behavior than President Obama.

• In 2009, Obama started off by canceling President Bush’s missile defense program for Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. This betrayal demoralized and antagonized our most reliable European allies.

• Obama’s insane New START nuclear arms control agreement with Russia that Mitt Romney rightly labeled as one of the Obama administration’s worst foreign policy mistakes.

• The Ukrainian territory of Crimea was annexed by the Russian Federation on 18 March 2014.

• Since 2014, Russia has made significant advances into Eastern Ukraine.

• Obama’s reticence allowed the situation in Syria to deteriorate to the point where Putin saw it as an invitation for Russia to get involved.

• Obama failed to act or even to inform the American people when it was reported that Russia had hacked our 2016 election.

• Obama’s misrepresentation of ISIS as “The JV Team” allowed Radical Islamic Terrorism to proliferate in the Mid East to the point where it was virtually out-of-control.

There’s more; I’ve merely scratched the surface.

Then there’s Hilarious, whose initial venture as Secretary of State under Obama was to present a big, red “reset” button to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a meeting at Foggy Bottom, ostensibly to restart the U.S.-Russia relationship. Both participants in this infantile venture had a good laugh at the Russian word, "peregruzka", that was affixed to this symbolic gift. It was presumably intended that this would be the Russian word for "reset" but actually was the word for "overcharged". Apparently, instead of consulting someone fluent in the contemporary Russian language, Hillary must have conferred with someone who said he took a course in Rudimentary Russian in high school.

Then there’s Mrs. Clinton’s involvement in the Uranium One deal, in which 20 percent of the United States’ uranium interests were transferred to Russia. Don’t forget: Uranium is elementary in the production of Nuclear Weapons!!

Summing up: Would Vladimir rather deal with President Hillary, who he knew he could manipulate and play like a dime-store ukulele, or would he rather tangle with President Trump, a world-class negotiator and dealmaker, who had campaigned on his vow to rebuild the military that Obama seemed dedicated to reduce to pre-WWII levels, restore President Bush’s missile defense program for Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic, re-establish NATO as a viable force, reverse Obama’s energy-dependent policy to become an energy competitor with Russia and to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?

Vladimir’s momma didn’t raise no idiots.

His intentions were, and are, crystal clear.

The man since Yeltsin has basically shaved 30% off the national treasury and divided among himself and his cronies. And has had detractors and journalists murdered. Despite all that he enjoys something like a 93% approval rating. The man is no idiot.

One of the most powerful tools the Kremlin has in its secret arsenal of Special War is provocation, what they call provokatsiya. While Moscow cannot claim to have invented this technique, which has existed as long as there have been secret services, there’s no doubt that Russians have perfected the art and taken it to a whole new level of sophistication and deviousness. At times, it can become a strategy all on its own (not always, mind you, with edifying results).

Provokatsiya simply means taking control of your enemies in secret and encouraging them to do things that discredit them and help you. You plant your own agents provocateurs and flip legitimate activists, turning them to your side. When you’re dealing with extremists to start with, getting them to do crazy, self-defeating things isn’t often difficult. In some cases, you simply create extremists and terrorists where they don’t exist. This is causing problems in order to solve them, and since the Tsarist period, Russian intelligence has been known to do just that.
