I honestly can’t stand this guy. Why he calls himself a Republican is a mystery.
Of the millions who have served in the military, the hundreds of thousands captured and tortured, John McCain is the only one, to my knowledge, using his past to shield his incompetence and soft corruption for decades on end. He has turned milking his POW experience into a political art form. He has transformed from a ‘war hero’ to a power hungry, greedy political hack and buffoon,

Compare his performance with the so-called “wet-start” trick McCain pulled in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire. Ignition of a pool of jet fuel in the exhaust stream of a jet engine causes a burst of flame and a loud explosion upon firing up. The collateral damage nearly caused the sinking of the carrier, with loss of life, equipment damage, and a serious blow to the continued war effort mission of the US Navy.
Another “hot-shot” performance by the impulsive and rather undisciplined “legacy” pilot (the fact that both his father and grandfather were Navy admirals were factors is no action being taken against him at the time).
