In some instances, it is extraordinarily difficult to “primary out” a sitting incumbent.

What happens is that the search for the replacement comes to not just one, but three or four or more competitors jumping in to run for the nomination to the seat, and chopping up the vote so hopelessly that the incumbent is re-nominated on a plurality. And once the plurality win is notched, the only other alternative is to turn to a competing party for their candidate. Face it, if the Democrats put up somebody, that person will be made to look like the very paradigm of what the district seems to want, as witness the recent Jon Ossoff-Karen Handel race in Georgia. And we all know that had Ossoff won, the representation would have taken a SHARP left turn.

Wisconsin-1 needs to vote for the Democrat over Ryano. Yes, I said . They need to fall on their sword for the rest of us. We can afford one less congress critter, we cannot afford any more Ryano.
