That's when I moved from Walker to Trump, too. Indeed, it looks like that was the defining moment for a huge number of other Walkerites. From then on Walker's fall and Trump's rise were almost reciprocals of each other.
I initially wanted to like Walker but, for all his credentials as a fighter in WI, on the national stage it just seemed like there was no there there. Amazingly unready for prime time.Right after I set a personal record for donation to candidate - Cruz - Trump had to cancel an event (in Chigago, IIRC) because of (presumably) Bob Creamers manipulations. Cruz does the right thing, upon landing at his next stop, by condemning the denial of the right of Trumps supporters to assemble. But instead of leaving it at that, he went on to criticize Trump.
I was repulsed. I understood why he felt that way - but when you are condemning a violation of my right (or yours) to assemble in support of Trump, I dont countenance criticism of my choice (or yours) at that moment. I knew at that moment that Cruz was in deep trouble. And that Trump was nearly certain to win the primaries.
