Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think the Democratic party needs a change: ‘We have the arena now’

Minority leader Nancy Pelosi thinks the Democratic Party is doing just fine despite her fellow Democrats thinking it's time for her to get the ax.

The California Democrat told reporters at LOGO's Trailblazer award ceremony on Thursday night that she doesn't believe the party is in need of any radical change while half of the party remained angry and divided for throwing millions towards a Georgia House race that was met with a tragic loss.

"We have the arena now, people are ready to listen and we'll have our message about the economy, but we will not walk away from our responsibilities,” Pelosi told reporters.

Just hours prior, New York Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice told CNN that the party was in need of a change.

"It's time for Nancy Pelosi to go, and the entire leadership team," Rice said.

The 77-year-old, who was awarding Cyndi Lauper the honor for championing LGBTQ issues throughout her career, addressed her concerns about LGBTQ issues under the Trump administration.

"Well we have to be optimistic, and we have to keep on fighting," she said.

The longtime politician's sentiments came just before Trump spoke of her in an interview with "Fox & Friends" which aired on Friday.

The president slammed Pelosi's record after the Democratic special election losses, explaining that it would be a "very, very sad day for Republicans' if Nancy Pelosi steps down."

But that didn't stop her from preaching her message of hope — just shortly after she defended her abilities as a "master legislator" following the Georgia loss.

"I'm hopeful because of all of the work and activism that happened during the HIV AIDS struggle, that really led to great achievements… it led to marriage equality and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell as well as the Hate Crimes Act so now we have an equality act but now we want to open up the Civil Rights Act and inject LGBTQ in there and that would be a great advance."

Although the party's hit some tough losses, Pelosi is standing behind her positive spirit.

"I think we made great progress. You have to look at the upside," she said. "This is not a glass that's nearly empty but nearly full and we're ready to win the Congress in the next election but in the mean time we don't want those in power to do harm to anyone in our country and certainly not the LGBT community."

The mother-of-five walked the carpet with two of her adorable grandsons, Paul and Thomas.

I have to assume she means by arena, they have the the GOP and Trump trapped inside and the howling liberal masses are ready see the the lions unleashed to destroy them...

Normal people aren't listening unless you are one of deranged unhinged and what economic plan?

Gender issues and calls for impeachment aren't an economic plan

Keep her right there! Even Trump wants her to stay. She helps spew and incite the violence and hate the left will be tagged with for years to come.

Who will replace her? Someone more crazy, more radical, more violent, more perverse, more out of touch?

Yes, Maybe we can wish for Maxine Watters. She also is the face of the Democratic Party.

Hard to believe the dems want her saying anything in public - she’s basically incoherent.

Cultural Marxism thrives when she increases her incoherent following - She's a Judas Goat leading the herd towards the strategic goal of cultural psychosis:

psy·cho·sis
sīˈkōsəs/
noun
  1. a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality.
"According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

Most of the activity of the department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information, on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion.  Publisher, editors, journalists, uh actors, educationalists, professors of political science.  Members of parliament, representatives of business circles.

Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups:  those who would tow the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to positions of power through media and public manipulation;  [and] those who refuse the Soviet influence in their own country would be character assassinated OR executed physically, come Revolution.  "
