The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has rejected the invitation to meet with President Trump for a follow up meeting at the White House, according to a letter released by the chair of the committee, Cedric Richmond, on Wednesday.
Citing actions by the Trump administration "that will affirmatively hurt black communities," Richmond wrote that concerns discussed during a preliminary meeting with Mr. Trump on March 22nd "fell on deaf ears."
"Given the lack of response to any of the many concerns we have raised with you and your administration, we decline your invitation for all 49 members of the Congressional Black Caucus to meet with you," Richmond said.
"I fail to see how a social gathering would benefit the policies we advocate for," Richmond added.
Mr. Trump's adviser Omarosa Manigault extended an invitation to the 49 members of the CBC to return to the White House for a follow up meeting on June 9th, first reported by CBS News last week.....

At the core, the Black Caucus doesn’t want to mend race relations. They don’t want solutions. They thrive on unresolved grievance. Eliminate the grievance, you eliminate the reason for their very existence.
This is probably the single most stupid thing this body could do.

I would ask them to list the specifics of what their concerns are and what they want the president to do about them. How many of them would ask for more money for “programs?” Most, I’d bet.

I bet he can meet with ministers and businessmen from their districts
The CBC is all about race. The President could (did) promise to rebuild Detroit and make Chicago safer, and the CBC would still obstruct him.
I told my wife last week that President Trump could cure cancer and they’d call him a racist for not curing sickle cell anemia.
....I’ll bet they’d meet with Raul Castro, Nicolás Maduro or Kim Jong Un if one of them asked, though....

Good, now that the CBC has proven themselves to be uncivilized, the time to squash them is now.
Make an example out of them. Let the public know exactly what they are and what they do. Their power in congress will barely lift a piece of paper afterward.
It would even be understandable if they used their 'concentrated' power base to actually improve conditions for the black culture.
Instead, they line their own pockets just like the rest of the politicians.
I doubt that.
And next week they’ll be crying because nobody consults them, nobody cares about their wants and needs, nobody includes them - Republicans are racists......
They are no more and no less corrupt than their non-'black' counterparts in Congress. They don't even run the CBC, it's a white guy in charge.
