I mostly agree with this article. Mainstream media has become an ineffectual echo chamber. The ones saying “Rioting is not the way to convince voters to support you” are being drowned out by “Trump is literally Hitler so riots are A-OK!”. The leadership of the Democrat party has shown not the slightest inclination of changing direction, and so my prediction is that they will get slaughtered even worse in 2018.

The conspiratorial part of me is wondering something. It is wondering whether the sensible Democrats have decided that 2018 is hopeless, and are deliberately not changing course that after the second debacle in a row they will finally be able to decisively shed the identity-politics wing.

The corporate oligarchy owns both the Democrats and the GOP. This year Wall Street, the Koch brothers, the Neocons who lied us into Iraq, George Will, George Bush, etcetera, are riding the Hillary train because they don’t like the way the populist right wing and Trump stole their party.

You will be along for the ride with them. The progressives who stick with the Democrats, and who will follow Bernie into promoting Hillary to save us from Hitler/Trump, are just played for suckers.

Obama was a fraud, like Bill Clinton a charismatic speaker who still fools liberals. After his fortunate inability to vote for the Iraq war, being in the Illinois statehouse and not Washington, he pretended to be a peace candidate and clobbered pro-war Hillary. Then he announced there would be no investigation of the lies that led to Iraq, and he appointed Hillary his Secretary of State. He has been her houseboy ever since.

In the morning his FBI lets her off the hook, and in the afternoon they fly off together. Appearance no longer matters to these people. The Democrats do not need any of you in 2016, they are playing to the disaffected, anti-Trump oligarchs, Wall Street funders and the apparatchiks of the GOP.

But Bernie has followed the lead of his fellow Vermont insurgent, Governor Howard Dean, in creating an organization called Our Revolution, Bernie’s new brand name for his former Feel the Bern movement, and apparently still the title of his forthcoming book.

Hmmm... "Our Revolution" has definite shades of "Mein Kampf." I suppose the same sort of sentiment is behind both names.

The coverage of fires and property damage to protest free speech and the liberals saying this was successful does wonders to bring many moderates to Trump’s side. He’s the law and order candidate, and liberals are getting more violent in “protest”, scaring people to the other side.
