OK, Cruz has been somewhat redeeming himself lately, but what is this? Setting himself up to run against President Trump in 2020?

I assume Cruz is doing this to diminish the possibility o GOP challengers in his next senate run. He also is likely trying to place himself in position for 2020 in case Trump fails. I used to be somewhat pro-Cruz but I now realize he has no national appeal and not really capable of growing one.

It’s not a presidential debate, it’s a townhall about repealing Obamacare.

In 20 years, Ted will be younger than Donald is now — and someone has to succeed him in 2024.

2024. No one is going to take a shot against Trump in 2020.
