The nuclear option currently does not apply to SCOTUS. The Senate rule makers should actually change the filibuster rule so that it’s old school, where Chuck You Schumer and company would actually have to talk a bill to death, subject to override by a 2/3 vote.
Chuck You and Co. would sure look funny reading from a phone book to stop a perfectly decent SCOTUS nominee. They would make a spectacle of themselves and, hopefully, ensure a massive loss in 2018.
