The goal should be to turn blue collar democrats to republicans. They need to get back to church and community. They do that in the rust belt and democrats never win another election.
Plenty of potential GOP voters are made to feel very unwelcome in the GOP... in both the establishment faction and in conservative factions. At least in many states and counties that is the way it is.
The newcomer is told to “Kiss my seniority”. The nature of a newcomer is that he doesn’t kiss up.
