U.S. Sen. Patty Murray has been elected by the Democratic caucus to serve as assistant Democratic leader, the third-ranking position in Senate Democratic leadership.
Murray, a Democrat from Seattle, was elected Wednesday.
In this post, Murray will work with Sen. Chuck Schumer, Democratic leader, to shape the Democratic agenda and strategy, and will play a critical role in implementing it on and off the Senate floor with the rest of the leadership team and caucus.
Murray has served as the conference secretary, the fourth-ranking position, since 2006.
“We have a tough road ahead of us with Republicans in control of Congress and a new Republican president who campaigned on dividing our country and rolling back all of the progress we’ve made over the past eight years,” Murray said in a news release.
“But I stand with the rest of this Democratic leadership team ready to get to work if Republicans are willing to work with us to move our country in the right direction, and ready to fight back — tooth and nail — if they try to divide our country, hurt our constituents or drag us backward.”
Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who ran against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president, will serve as chair of outreach.
Other members of the leadership team include Minority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin; Sen. Debbie Stabenow, chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee; Sen. Elizabeth Warren, vice chair of the Conference; Sen. Mark Warner, vice chair of the Conference; Sen. Amy Klobuchar, chair of the Steering Committee; Sen. Joe Manchin; vice chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee; and Senate Democratic Conference Secretary Sen. Tammy Baldwin.

She did something many years ago to the Desert Storm or Iraq vets, do not remember what it was, I was at Travis AFB shopping got on the phone and gave that Witch a piece of my mind. She had my Blood Boiling, and she has not backed up a bit, in fact has doubled down. Pray Trump somehow gives it to her and Ryan both.

The union bosses told their members to vote Democrat. Anyone who failed to vote would suffer consequences. The King County elections was giving out the names of voters who had not voted. If the unions find out you didn’t vote, you will get booted from your job.
Members were also told they needed to vote Democrat to insure the state legislature has enough Democrats to pass a state income tax legislation.
The leftist King County voters did a top down vote starting with Hillary. In their stupidity, they have squandered exceptional candidates who would have done Washington State great. Murray’s opponent, Chris Vance, is a University of Washington adjunct professor who has served in the State House of Representatives (two terms) and the Metropolitan King County Council (two terms). I have had long conversations with Chris and he is a cut above “Osama Mamma” Patty Murray.

Murphys and Murrays in New York, Washington State, Florida (shithead punk lost), and at least one other state. Not a sane one among them.
As stated earlier, those of us outside King county basically have little or no voice in statewide elections. As bad as Murray is, we just re-elected one of the dumbest politicians ever as Governor, Jay Inslee. I really wish we could split Eastern Washington off and into a new state, separate from Western Wa.
The thing about Murray is.... That she’s an idiot. She embodies the argument for term limits. Idiots get in and you can’t get them out.
She is an unqualified shrew, and always was. The “Senator Who Wears Tennis Shoes.” What a joke. Since being in the “club”, all she has learned is how to enrich herself.
