I went to boarding school in a little town ( Kingston ) right outside of Wilkes-Barre and have fond memories of Saturday afternoons going to the movies in W-B. It was a lovely little place back then. I’m so very happy that so many Trumpers turned out for Trump, there, tonight!
My family lived in Nanticoke when I was a little boy. We used to go into Wilkes-Barre. I remember going to the movies at the Comerford Theater on Public Square. My mother’s favorite store was Fowler, Dick, and Walker, the Boston Store.
Brings back memories. Haven’t been back to Luzerne County in years. All the old family has passed away or moved away now.
My great grandparents on my dad’s side lives in Wilkes Barrie. My grandmom told me about when she was living near Wilkes and my took the streetcar there.
I worked in a little town near there — Pittston — back in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Pretty area.
