I guarantee you that Trump is going to make a play for the Democrat base just like Ronald Reagan did. Reagan was famously quoted as saying “I didn’t leave the Democratic party, the Democratic Party left me.” I can imagine Trump making that pitch in the closing weeks of the campaign.
The Democratic party bet the farm on 800 Clinton donors, who if Trump wins should have audited by the IRS. Sanders was essentially tied with Clinton and those leftists were disenfranchised. Bernie had the nomination stolen from him and people are pissed off. I don’t think Lizzy Warren can save them.
If I was Trump, I would be subliminally hinting at this while going about his business. Keep those Bernie backers away from Clinton.
Note to Trump: The only way you lose this election is to accept any GOP establishment endorsements. DO NOT LISTEN TO RINCE. His comments to those that didn’t support you is a way to tie you to the establishment. Don’t fall for it and don’t openly accept it. You got this far without it and not one establishment candidate can help you over the top.
