The pyrotechnics of the primaries, like smoke over a Civil Warera battlefield, is now clearing and reveals Trump in possession of much of the center of the field. Mrs. Clinton has the Left, but not all the forces of discontent, given Mr. Trumps robust pan-ideological iconoclasm.
It is that iconoclasm that the elites of both parties fear the most, and is the most likely to produce the change that threatens their pilfered and illegitimate ruling-class status. Hillary is wasting her time and energy in high-rolling donor suppers - $100,000 for a nod from Her Heinous' royal head in person if we normal citizens may believe the straight-faced reportage of the behavior of our betters - while Trump is packing the mind and muscle of the country in to the rafters. If in fact the system is so corrupted that the election may be regarded as bought and paid for despite the preferences of the actual voters, then we venture into very dangerous, and potentially very violent waters. Hillary is depending on a coalition of outrage to take her through, dismissing any opposing outrage with the customary labels of bigotry, sexism, racism, etc, etc ad nauseum. But when political formulae get old, they get old very fast, and this one's well past its sell-by date.
I don’t know if Black will ever return to the US but he has an interesting perspective as an outsider. His current status is he has started to enjoy writing and commenting which for our side is a plus. He is no Mark Steyn but he can be wonderfully withering in attacking the left.
