I don’t see why we can’t just have a flat tax rate for all income levels.

Beyond that, I wonder if some of these think tanks would run an analysis of what the likely outcome would be if taxes stayed as they are now, or even a little higher, but regulations were all but entirely removed.

Also all but eliminating the incredibly hostile legal environment we all have to operate in.

I bet that would do more to turbocharge the economy that lowering taxes but keeping the onerous and punitive regulations and laws Americans are subject to.>>> i can’t see why we allowed these crooks to depart from the original tax scheme. no direct taxes except apportioned. reason why that is there.

I don’t see why there has to be an income tax AT ALL.
This country was founded without an income tax.
This country was wealthiest when there was no income tax.
If this country strictly adhered to the Constitution and spent ONLY on what is Constitutionally permitted, there would be NO NEED for ANY income tax.
