For the crazy BS stories Trump was spreading about Cruz, his wife, and his father during the primaries. If Trump won’t apologize for those, then I don’t expect Cruz would have any inclination to help Trump. He’s basically said as much already.
Cruz will learn soon enough that he’s been on the losing end of this battle. Therefore there’s no benefit for Trump to apologize for ANYTHING.

Trump could care less whether Cruz exists or not. Cruz is dead meat to him, and unless Trump can find a valid use for Ted, which is doubtful, Cruz will sink into oblivion during a Trump term of office.
