This was not a tragedy. A tragedy is multiple people being killed by a hurricane. This hideous massacre was an atrocity, just like the Nazis murdering millions of Jews and homosexuals. Indeed, radical Muslims are the new Nazis.
Yes. Labeling it as a tragedy
sets the stage for diffusing
blame and redirects the reaction
from anger to mourning. It’s what
happened after 9/11 but, strangely,
not after Pearl Harbor.
