There are two possibilities here. The lesser possibility is that Cruz is trying to steal the nomination from Trump. The more likely possibility is that Cruz is positioning himself as Plan B if somehow Trump does not obtain the nomination, simply as a contingency. In that case, he is doing the Trump-ers a favor, because if something does happen to Trump so that he doesn’t get the nomination, Cruz is a much better Plan B than Romney, Ryan, Kasich, or any other GOPe member who has bowed before the Altar of Obama.

Cruz wants to be the center of attention at the convention. That’s what his continuing stealth campaign is all about.

There is a third possibility as well. It could be, that having been well-organized for months in advance within the Washington State GOP, Cruz people simply had overwhelming numbers to vote their slate in. With that advantage, why wouldn’t they want to send their own people to Cleveland?

And yeah, it doesn’t matter on the first ballot anyway because they’re all bound. I think the Cruz people are more concerned about the Rules and Platform committees and having a strong say in what comes out of those. Don’t forget also that only the POTUS candidate is bound on that first ballot. The VP candidate is not — meaning if, for example, in excess of 1237 delegates were Cruz partisans, they would have final veto power on any VP nominee put forward.

Hell no he isn’t! I’d sooner vote for any of the stupid list of losers you posted, than Cruz. If the nomination is taken away from Trump....it’ll be PRESIDENT HILLARY in a gigantic landslide.

That might be true if Cruz actually got elected President, but as a candidate, Cruz would be crushed in the general, even against a candidate as horrible as Hillary.

Cruz is NO better than any of his other Globalist cohorts. It was just a ruse to fool some conservatives into thinking this was “their guy”.

In truth, he has shown himself to be a dangerous pretender. It is my hope that DJT deals with him accordingly.

I don’t care what his plan is, I just want Ted Cruz to go away.

Cruz is untrustworthy and a GOP tool. I am no longer certain he is that automatic fallback to Trump.

Back when Limbaugh still had some reasoning ability, he predicted that some would refuse to acknowledge that Trump was the nominee, even as late as October.

Why did you do this? I resent your attempt to continue to spread dissent.

The Hamburglar could more easily win the national election than Cruz. He was born in Canada which means a lot to a true Constitutional Patriot. Give it up finally. You statement sounds foolish and nefarious.
