Actually, Cruz got along with Republican ‘officials’ racking up numerous delegates no matter how shadily done. It was actually Trump who was despised (and may still be) by officials as can be seen by the 3rd Party stuff being pumped out by Mitt & Bill Kristol.

It was actually Trump who was despised (and may still be) by officials as can be seen by the 3rd Party stuff being pumped out by Mitt & Bill Kristol.I was thinking along the same lines when I first read this that the situation is not very comparable.
Also, Bernie still has a chance at the nomination outright, as to where Cruz was pretty much eliminated long before he got out.
