Yup, Pres. Trump will deal with the GOP, and they will be much the better for it; but I suspect it is going to very unpleasant and it is going to hurt. I’m looking forward to it.
Honest Abe versus Lyin’ Ted on the third ballot?
Honest Abe wasn’t.
“Trump is a total narcissist, and what you see here is the way hes always been,”.. said a source intimately familiar with Trumps way of working, who declined to be identified criticizing a potential president....”This, between you and me, will be the destruction of the United States.”
Further stating....the source who has familiarity with Trumps 'refusal' to recruit the best. Stated... "Because he doesn't listen to them, and then they leave,.. said the source... And if anybody is ever credited with doing anything good, he gets rid of them because he hates when anybody else gets credit."
There is 'growing concern' that those in his orbit known to be rude, uncouth, and ignorant could soon have their hands on the levers controlling the worlds richest economy and a military of unparalleled might...
As we know... Trumps "two-bit campaign operation" has consistently failed to secure 'loyal' delegates if the convention is brokered.....Trump knows it too.
It's being frequently suggested now that Trumps entire campaign was a publicity stunt that has spiraled out of control....His ground game was a sign of those who know of his lazyness to details.. but its also a heads up that Trump never expected to get this far and probably didnt want to.....That Trump is a ribbon cutter... He shows up for the Grand Openings...., and then never returns. Thats his deal. He doesnt do details.
He knows he can't quit without pi**ing his supporters off. Do you know what theyll DO to Trump if he quits?... Theyll take his scalp.
If Trump loses at the convention?... thats perfect. Not only does Trump get to slither out of the race, but he can spend the rest of his life bit*hing that he was robbed of the nomination while secretly relishing his getaway. .....
Winning is a branding exercise for Trump.. If the Republican party pries the nomination out of his fingers, he can say that he technically won, and then slip out the Quicken Loans Arena fire escape in disgust, leaving a mob of angry voters and tattered party platforms behind him.
All that matters is that HE looks good. Whatever comes of that..whatever terrible consequence comes at the price of keeping up appearances..it wont matter because... He wont have to endure the humiliation of losing the general election to Hillary Clinton. He would be the only person to walk away from the rubble relatively unharmed. ... hell just go off to a golf course for the rest of his life.
This is the best-case scenario for Trump. He doesnt want to be President. But he doesnt want to lose the Presidency. A contested convention allows him to avoid either outcome.
Watch this July as he lets it happen. Watch him complain about being treated unfairly and pretend to protest having the nomination taken away from him.
“If you dont like Trump you need to learn to love him pal. Your talking about the next Republican Nominee here.”
You have gone from sipping your Kool Aid to gulping it.
” Cruz campaigns sleazy tactics...”
If Cruz is sleazy, Trump is pond scum. Well, name calling is the new Alinski tactic by Trumpites. The issues? Oh well.
And your solution is a used-car salesman that lost money running casinos?
Go back to watching “NEMO”. When you catch up with the adults, call back. Maybe in June.
Trump refuses to argue issues with Cruz because he is unable to do that, he knows he'll lose.
Trump treated all of his opponents the same way, never arguing issues, just personal attacks (Carson's just like a child molester, Fiorina isn't pretty enough to be President, etc.) and demeaning them as persons.
How do you explain to people who are not aware, that in Arizona where Trump won by 2 to 1, that every Trump delegate is actually a Cruz operative? How is it that you characterize subverting the process so that persons assigned to represent others as their delegates at the convention actually support another candidate?
Do you believe that it is unfair to characterize that type of inappropriate campaign tactic as sleazy? It does not matter that many die hard Cruz supporter have completely lost their moral compasses. What matters is that Cruz has finally gone far enough that people are finally starting to notice. I believe that is primary reason his support has taken a precipitous drop in the last couple weeks.
Admit it, friend. You picked a loser. On top of that, nobody likes him - least of all, the voters, who’ve shouted that out, in nearly every state where there’s been a straight primary vote.
“...the day Ted wins the nomination.”
Ted can’t win the nomination, but the GOP-e might just hand it to him.
Plenty of red flags to go around.
“Go back to watching NEMO. When you catch up with the adults, call back.”
I see you’ve attended the Trump School of Insults. Do you have small fingers too? What about an orange face?
There is no controversy over the fact that Cruz was born in Canada, but also no controversy over the fact that Cruz mother had lived long enough in America to, under then-operative law confer her citizenship on Ted.
Look, it is a technicality. If Barak is not an American citizenship it is a technicality, because there are plenty of other blacks who have no more love for American traditions than Barak does. Hillary Clinton stands in violation, far more clearly, of the provision in the Constitution forbidding a federal official from accepting gifts or emoluments without congressional authorization. Officially the gifts are laundered through a foundation - but Hillary was a principal of that foundation and had an obligation to resign if the Foundation accepted gifts from foreign governments while she was SoS. Officially the emoluments were honoraria to her husband - but Hillary was a principal in her marriage to Bill, and likewise she had the obligation to prevent that, or resign.
I will go further and say that, to obey the spirit of that constitutional stricture, no one who is considered presidential timber should ever accept foreign government donations or payments.
