You claim Cruz is ‘owned’, but provide no evidence for it. Whereas Trump can be owned by anyone willing to stroke his ego. His countless issue-flips and chameleonlike changes are proof of that.
So Trump ‘inspires’ people? So what? He’s inspiring them because they’re convinced he’ll use the Big Stick of government to provide largess on their behalf instead of someone else’s. It’s perfectly understandable, but if you’re someone like me who doesn’t believe it’s the government’s job to pick who gets the goodies (be it in the form of welfare checks or draconian trade policies), then he’s inspiring people to embrace their worst impulses, the impulse that says ‘Take care of me, I’m owed!’
That’s inspiration I can do with less of.

Some people are as dumb as a rock or are living under one.
The news has been inundated with the endorsements of the GOP establishment to Cruz, to the appearance of Neil Bush to oversee his campaign finances. That’s all the evidence that any thinking person with at least two brain cells needs to have.
Every time a delegate is turned that is another debt Cruz owes.
