No, he wants you to watch a video of an interview with Ted Cruz by Bill O’Reilly and then he comments on it in that paragraph you cited.
What you are quoting are not Cruz’s words, but those of Professor Throckmorton.
Cruz advocates deportation and not allowing illegals to come back.
These sound like three good reasons to vote Cruz or Trump, since both have similar views on all three points:
- Cruz promises to deport 12 million illegal immigrants
- Cruz dismisses climate change as religion
- Cruz’s promise to carpet bomb ISIS
Anyone who does not agree with the two of them is unacceptable for the White House.
Though I do agree with one aspect of his immigration argument. Specifically, both Trump and Cruz should be talking a lot more about tightening up employment and stopping benefits, so-called "self-deportation", rather than rounding people up. Same result, just a lot cheaper and more palatable to the general public.

Cruz has character and the GOP backstabbing qualities along with the personality of a possum.
Cruz is now a non starter for me.
To start with, a promise to deport 12 million is just that, a promise. But what it does do is slam the door on further reckless immigration. It sends a strong message to a lot of other countries that illegal immigration is just that, and that there will no longer be a red carpet of “just make it to America and you will get a good job and free stuff.”
Truthfully, America *can* absorb that many illegals *over time*. It is the reckless effort to *overwhelm* America with open door immigration that is causing most of the problems.
Finally, on *that* subject, Mexico is running out of steam for sending endless immigrants to the US. But those who want reckless immigration will do whatever they can to import other hoards of immigrants, from China, Indonesia, Africa, other South Asian countries. *They* do not care who or from where.
The flip side of open door immigration, and even more destructive to our economy, is exploitative “free trade”, that should be called “colonialism in reverse”. It has destroyed most of America’s heavy industry, and is economically tearing us apart.
Sorry, any idealist fantasies otherwise are just that. Any good that these trade agreements do is vastly outweighed by the harm.
Next up, the defense of Man Made Climate Change just destroys any credibility of this author. It is a fraudulent scheme for internationalist control and domination, and more and more *countries* are dismissing it as the scam it is. Just like the “Population Bomb” scam of the 1970s. Those politicians that support it need to be put out of office and denied podiums behind which they can preach. In balance, they are no different than James Bond villains.
Kasich/Rubio? Two candidates who won’t win their home states in November and would go down in flames to Hillary. Brilliant thinking Professor. Geez, our side is filled with stupid people.
#1, 2, 5, and 6 are boilerplate campaign tricks. Obama used the IRS against his opponents. Does that outrage you?
#3, plenty of politicians have nut job relatives; go look up Billy Carter.
#4, I've read plenty of law opinions which say he is eligible.

Cruz is being portrayed that way (okay, maybe the personality assessment is accurate, but he is one of the best in the US Senate in terms of both conservatism and character, whether you read the details vote by vote or go to a conservative or Tea Party site that ranks politicians). I would hope that most people would check more objective sources than the opposing campaigns and their operatives.
