Do you know the difference in winning and not winning? By that logic Cruz didn't win Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, or any state since Trump won delegates in those.

Winning - getting more votes than your opponent. In the various states, the candidate that gets the most votes is declared to have won that state. To make it easy, many news outlets color the states and associate a particular color to a particular candidate. It's nice and easy so that when I look at the map I can see how many states a particular candidate won. Isn't that the coolest thing you ever heard?
Oh, and by the way, you're arguing against my dream. I think I may be dreaming now.
