Trump is going to get the necessary delegates easily.

Because Rush is hoping he doesn’t.

Do you know the difference in winning and not winning?

By that logic Cruz didn't win Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, or any state since Trump won delegates in those.

So you like “participation” trophies? Apparently Ted does. Because he’s got a lot of them.

No, Cruz lost in the South since Trump took most of the delegates.

But Cruz said that last night was very good during his speech?

He has to win with over 50%.

I don’t think that says he has 8 with a majority of delegates. It just shows he has more than eight contests where he won more delegates, not the majority (51%). The article yesterday about Trump winning the Mariana Islands said Trump is the only one this far. I’ll try to find it.

based on your logic, only trump ‘won’ delegates. That is false.

Did he get more than others? Yes.

Did he get a majority? No.

That article makes Cruz sound like a rather milquetoast outsider. Better than a Rubio of course, but still a lamprey to Trump’s shark.

He’s the article from yesterday. Trump’s the only one this far.

He’s the only one that met the 8 state w/ majority of delegates rule.

"SO, SUE ME" -- Challenge Unanswered

Ted called Donald's bluff brilliantly, and Donald slinked away quietly, silent now for nearly a month You just plain have to stand up to these bullies, like Red Cruz did.

Rule 40 is about winning 50 percent of the delegates in 8 states, not just winning the state. Has he done that yet....I mean I thought he was getting close to that but looking at the stats just now, it doesn’t seem so. I see Texas, Idaho, Maine and Kansas.

At first I thought it meant 50 percent of the popular vote but its 50 percent of the delegates of the state.

who knows what else the GOPe will come up with, I thought I heard Rush say last week that the rule can even be changed one day before the Convention. ?

I just watched Cruz on Megyn Kelly. It was actually quite sad. Even after Tuesdays stunning defeat which left him with no realistic chance of getting to 1237 delegates, he was still sticking with he same argument that the majority of Republicans had voted against Trump.

Kelly who pretty much everyone knows cannot stand Trump was trying to be supportive. But she looked like a mother trying to tell her kid that his “participant ribbon” meant that he was “special”. My wife chimed in and said that obviously Cruz came from a younger generation than us where everyone is told they are a winner no matter how badly they have lost.

I guess that is what we have to do these days... but for how long? How long are we going to have to keep pretending that Cruz has a realistic chance of getting the nomination and that he still could be elected president? The longer Ted keeps up this charade the more damage he is doing to his future career in politics.

Winning - getting more votes than your opponent. In the various states, the candidate that gets the most votes is declared to have won that state. To make it easy, many news outlets color the states and associate a particular color to a particular candidate. It's nice and easy so that when I look at the map I can see how many states a particular candidate won. Isn't that the coolest thing you ever heard?

Oh, and by the way, you're arguing against my dream. I think I may be dreaming now.

Because Rush isn’t a Trump fan and his fat drugged up ass is hoping and praying someone with GOPe ties stops Trump.
