Delusional thinking since Trump will not only be the nominee but the 45th President as well, and Cruz’s career is effectively finished on not only a national level but probably in Texas as well.

Cruz would now lose if he’s the only name on the ballot.
Thank God we found who he is now rather than later.
More likely is that he’s planning on Trump winning and failing to keep his word.

He started off with a great plan, but nothing went his way and he couldn’t adjust.

Interesting how many mass defections by former Cruz supporters have been posted by those leaving him behind on FR in the past 24 hours.
One problem, and I say this as a Cruzer: Trump will beat Hillary. Whether Trump runs in 2020 or not is an open question, though, and Cruz might have the inside track for that one, especially if he learns from his mistakes in this run, including and especially his ruinous answer to the disruptions last evening.
Which no doubt comes from a novel interpretation of some obscure Old Testament text.

If Cruz had any plans for running another year he killed them last night by siding with Sanders, Kasich and Rubio. He might as well get in the rowboat with Fredo.
